MYBEP Education & Information Seminar - Any youth who applied to the 2008 MYBEP are eligible to attend this workshop on nutrition, cattle breeding, handling, financial needs, transportation, and breed profiles. These sessions are developed to enhance a junior's ability to begin and prosper with their own herd of cattle and will be presented by industry and educational professionals along with leading cattleman. The Minnesota State Cattleman's Assn. will donate an additional heifer to one attendee of this workshop. Additionally, four passes will be awarded to the Minnesota Cattleman's conference held in December. |

Extreme Make-over: Beef Expo Style!
sponsored by the MN Soybean Research & Promotion Council
Team work and enhancing show ring performance of groomed cattle is the goal of this fun and interactive event at the 2008 MN Beef Expo. Teams made up of 4 youth will have the opportunity to groom a heifer or steer for the show ring, demonstrate team work and beef industry knowledge and compete for the coveted award as the “2008 Beef Expo Extreme Makeover Champion”. Teams will be judged on the ability to fit the animal, organization of the Team members, participation of each member, beef industry knowledge and overall effectiveness of grooming. Hosted by the U of M Beef Team. |
