10th Annual Minnesota Beef Expo Sale
This year’s sales event was extremely well received!
Due to the increase of trade show exhibitors, the sale was relocated to the east end of the Coliseum as opposed to the south side, where it had been previously. Standing room only was the only available space in the audience. Youth and adults from as far as Colorado came looking for a new show prospect along with producers on the hunt for replacement females.
2009 Sales Results
The 10th Annual Minnesota Beef Expo Sale was held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the MN State Fair Grounds, St. Paul MN. Consignors enjoyed a full day of activities with a show in the morning, the sale at noon and the selection of the Supreme Champion Sale Female. A beef brisket sandwich dinner served ring side by the Minnesota Shorthorn Association accompanied the Supreme Row Selection event. Sale cattle competed for $6750 in prize money as Breed Champions and in Supreme Row. Major sponsors for this year’s sale event were again Minnesota Farm Guide, Agri-Media Livestock Group with Land O’ Lakes Purina Feed and Alpharma Animal Health.
Shorthorn, Angus, Hereford, Maine-Anjou, Simmental, South Devon, Commercial, Other Registered Breeds and Fancy Show Steers comprised the 2009 sale.

The Minnesota Shorthorn Association sponsored and presented the 10th Annual Supreme Row Selection Dinner on Saturday night. The Minnesota Beef Spokesperson Team and Minnesota Youth Beef Experience Program awards were also presented at that time.
