MINNESOTA YOUTH
BEEF EXPERIENCE
PROGRAM

Minnesota Youth Beef Experience Program (MYBEP)

The Minnesota Youth Beef Experience Program (MYBEP) awarded heifer calves to seven FFA and 4-H youth.  Each winner is responsible for raising, breeding and maintaining complete records on care of the animal while providing monthly progress reports to the original owner and the Minnesota Beef Expo. Failure to adequately follow these requirements during the course of the year when it is owned in partnership may cause the program participant to forfeit their ownership of the animal.

We received 50 entries for the fifth year of the Minnesota Youth Beef Experience Program. This overwhelming response is a tribute to youth who wish to pursue a future in the beef industry.

Heifers were awarded at the 7th Annual Supreme Sale Female & Steer Selection Dinner on
Saturday, October 17th. The 2009 recipients were
